Yes, you read that right. Microsoft has quietly pushed a new firmware for the Lumia 550. For all those fond of numbers, it is 15503.21007 and the new firmware is ONLY available through the Windows Device Recovery Tool as of now. To make things clear, the Lumia 550 shipped with 15461.48007.
What makes this firmware hard to accept as an update is the certain loss of data whether it is the apps, or personal stuff, it will wipe it out completely. So, kindly back up before you actually take the leap and begin the process.
