Microsoft to launch new devices on October 6th

Windows fans, brace yourselves and mark the date, 6th October. As on this day, Microsoft is expected to unveil devices such as the Surface Pro 4 tablet, the Microsoft Band 2 wearable fitness tracker and the latest Lumia smartphones at the eventMicrosoft sent out invitations on Monday for an event on October 6, where it is expected to unveil new devices that run on Windows 10, its latest operating system."We're eager to share some exciting news about Windows 10 devices," a Microsoft spokeswoman said. As per reports, Microsoft is expected to take the wraps off two smartphones namely Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL, as well as the Surface Pro 4 tablet, and a next-gen Microsoft Band.

The aforementioned smartphones have been subject to leaks revealing the kind of specifications they will boast, as well as how they are likely to look.

The Lumia 950 aka Talkman is expected to feature a 5.2-inch WQHD (1440×2560) OLED display, Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage with a microSD slot. It is also expected to feature a 20-megapixel PureView camera, 5-megapixel wide angle selfie camera, 3,000mAh removable battery with Qi wireless charging, and a USB Type-C port.

The larger Lumia 950XL aka Cityman, on the other hand, is expected to feature a bigger 5.7-inch WQHD display, Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor, 3GB RAM and the same amount of storage. It is also likely to feature the same set of cameras, 3,300mAh battery, and USB Type-C port.
