Its look like Microsoft is about to roll out their own Virtual Reality Box named VR kit. It looks quite similar to the Google's Cardboard. The Microsoft VR kit works by putting the Lumia phone inside the VR kit, as you can see in the picture. The display of the Lumia will work as the driving unit.

First it was spotted at a Microsoft website promoting an upcoming hackthagon to build apps for Virtual Reality. It also says that the teams with successful idea will be awarded with the VR Kit on October 17.

Now you might be thinking that what is Virtual Reality kit?

It is intended as a low cost system to encourage interest and development in VR and VR applications. However, it works like this, after inserting the phone, an app compatible with the VR kit opens and splits the image into two. The results is a 3D view.
